— THE SOURCING STANDARD —
Before a product gets a page on NATURAGROW, it must pass seven independent checks. Most things we try don't. That is the entire point.

EU Organic, Ecocert, Demeter, Soil Association, or documented natural source with grower interview on file.
We cross-reference every certification with the relevant authority database. Where no recognised certification exists, we conduct a direct grower interview and document the outcome. Products with lapsed certifications are removed within 30 days of the lapse date.
If the input list contains a salt-based NPK or a synthetic pesticide, we don't list it. There is no 'light' version of this rule.
This applies to every SKU including tools and accessories. We review every product's full MSDS and ingredient declaration. If a synthetic compound appears anywhere — even as a trace preservative — the product is rejected without exception.
The product must support — or at minimum not destroy — microbial, mycorrhizal, and worm activity.
We consult peer-reviewed studies and grower testimonials for each biological claim. Products that sterilise growing media or suppress mycorrhizal activity fail this test regardless of their organic certification status.
Wood, hemp, glass, kraft, ceramic, cork, recycled card. Plastic is rejected unless post-consumer recycled with no alternative.
We accept post-consumer recycled plastic only where no plant-based or mineral-based substitute exists. In those cases, the recycled content must be independently verified at minimum 80% PCR. We publish the material score of every product on its page.
We name the maker and the region on every product page. Anonymous catalogues are refused, regardless of margin.
Every product page lists the maker's name, town or region, and country. We visit new suppliers in person or by video call before their first listing. Products from multi-tier supply chains that cannot name the original producer fail this test.
We source within Europe wherever the input exists in Europe. When we don't, we say where it comes from and why.
If a category exists in Europe with suitable supply (organic-certified, correct quality, adequate volume), we do not import it from outside the EU. Where we do import, every product page specifies the country of origin and the reason. This is updated whenever our sourcing changes.
Outer and inner packaging must be paper, glass, or compostable bio-film. Tape is paper. Filler is shredded kraft.
This applies to the packaging NATURAGROW uses when shipping, and to the packaging the product itself arrives in. We photograph incoming products on receipt and score packaging. Products that score below 'compostable-ready' are listed with a packaging disclaimer and given 90 days to transition before removal.
