Bosque
Forest-floor materials from FSC Asturian woodlands.
Asturias, Spain · Founded 2019

Bosque is the project of Iago Carballo, a former forestry inspector who spent fifteen years walking the woodlands of Asturias. He founded Bosque in 2019 to bring forest-floor materials — leaf mulch, pine bark, oak litter — to growers who'd been buying poor-quality versions from anonymous distributors. Everything Bosque sells is collected by hand from FSC-managed forests under a regional foraging agreement renewed each year.
— THE PROCESS —
How it actually gets made.
The Asturian beech woods, late October.
Hand-raking the leaf layer. Never machine-harvested.
Sorting by hand. Leaf, bark, litter — kept separate.
Kraft sacks, ten kilos each. Sewn shut, not stapled.
— SOURCING STANDARD —
Every test, passed.
