— CERTIFICATIONS —

Ten marks. All verified.

These are the only certification marks we recognise on NATURAGROW. Each one is cross-referenced with the issuing authority before a product is listed, and re-checked every quarter.

100% ORGANIC · 0% CHEMICALS · 100% ORGANIC · 0% CHEMICALS ·

Last verified — March 2026 · Next review June 2026

01

We check the certificate, not the claim.

Every certificate is verified against the issuing authority's public database. We do not accept a supplier's word alone. If the database shows the certificate as expired or suspended, the product is removed within 30 days.

02

Annual visits for all eight makers.

We visit every maker in person or by video call each year. The visit is not announced in advance. We photograph the production environment, review batch records, and update our notes.

03

Anonymous products are rejected without exception.

We do not list products from anonymous catalogues, no-label origins, or multi-tier supply chains that cannot name the original producer. If a supplier cannot say where the product was made and by whom, we don't carry it.

— THE MARKS —

What each one means.

01

EU Organic

Verify

European Commission · EU · Since 1991

The baseline European organic standard. Prohibits synthetic pesticides, mineral fertilisers, GMOs, and irradiation. Products bearing the EU leaf logo must contain at least 95% organically produced ingredients.

Scope: Soil · Crop inputs · Animal farming · Aquaculture

02

Ecocert

Verify

Ecocert Group · FR · Since 1991

One of the largest organic certification bodies in Europe, founded in France. Inspects production sites against EU Organic standards and additional Ecocert protocols. Certificates are publicly searchable.

Scope: Organic inputs · Natural cosmetics · Fair trade

03

Demeter

Verify

Demeter International e.V. · DE · Since 1928

The world's oldest ecological farming standard. Biodynamic certification goes beyond organic: it treats the farm as a self-sustaining ecosystem, requires specific preparations, and ties planting to the biodynamic calendar.

Scope: Biodynamic farming · Soil · Seeds · Processing

04

Soil Association

Verify

Soil Association Certification Ltd · UK · Since 1946

The UK's leading organic certification body. Standards are consistently stricter than EU Organic minimums, particularly on animal welfare and prohibited inputs. Recognised and accepted across the EU.

Scope: Organic farming · Food · Textiles · Health & beauty

Recognised but not currently held by any listed maker

05

Forest Stewardship Council · DE · Since 1993

The global gold standard for responsible forest management. FSC-certified forests are managed to meet the environmental, social, and economic needs of present and future generations. Chain-of-custody certification tracks wood through every step.

Scope: Timber · Paper · Cork · Non-timber forest products

06

Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification · CH · Since 1999

An international umbrella organisation that endorses national forest certification systems. Widely used in Europe for smaller-scale private forest owners; often held alongside FSC for maximum coverage.

Scope: Timber · Paper · Forest products

07

Vegan Society

Verify

The Vegan Society · UK · Since 1990

The internationally recognised vegan trademark. Confirms that no animal products or by-products were used in manufacturing or testing. Particularly relevant for rolling papers, which sometimes use casein-based adhesives.

Scope: Food · Cosmetics · Textiles · Consumables

08

ISO 9001

Verify

International Organization for Standardization · CH · Since 1987

The international standard for quality management systems. Not an organic or ecological certification, but a rigorous process standard. We accept it alongside organic certification for laboratory producers where batch traceability and QC are the primary trust signal.

Scope: Laboratory processes · Quality management · Traceability

09

Artisan de France

Verify

Chambre de Métiers et de l'Artisanat · FR · Since 1925

The French state qualification for skilled craftspeople. Awarded after assessment by the Chambre de Métiers. Not an environmental standard, but it verifies that the holder personally produces what they sell — no anonymous sub-contracting.

Scope: Craft production · Wood · Ceramics · Textiles

10

Comité Andaluz de Agricultura Ecológica · ES · Since 1991

The Andalusian regional organic certification body, one of the oldest in Spain. Certifies under EU Organic standards plus additional Andalusian regional protocols. Broadly equivalent to EU Organic; certificates are publicly verifiable on the CAAE register.

Scope: Organic farming · Spain

Recognised but not currently held by any listed maker
