Wild Roots fue fundado por Hugo Marchand en un antiguo establo de cabras a las afueras de Aix-en-Provence en 2017. Después de diez años como herborista, se cansó de comprar aceite de neem que llegaba en bidones de plástico sin origen trazable. La granja cultiva ahora la consuelda, ortiga y milenrama que prensa; el neem sigue viniendo de Kerala, prensado en frío por una cooperativa que Hugo ha visitado cuatro veces. Todo se embotella en vidrio ámbar en Provenza, se etiqueta en kraft y se ata con cordel de cáñamo.

— THE PROCESS —
How it actually gets made.

The herb fields at dawn. South-facing terraces of comfrey and nettle, harvested by hand from May through August.

Cold press, set to 23°C. The heat ceiling that preserves the active fractions.

Settling tanks. The tincture rests for six weeks before bottling.

Hand-bottling in Aix. Kraft labels glued one at a time. The hemp twine knot is Hugo's own.
